融合部PYP劳动实践课程丨金秋识稻米,禾下趣丰收

金秋送爽,层林尽染。为让学生亲近自然、体验劳动乐趣、拓展知识视野,近日,合肥新华公学融合部小学一至五年级学生开展了以“金秋识稻米·禾下趣丰收”为主题劳动实践课程。各年级结合学生年龄特点设计特色活动,孩子们在田野间、暖阳下尽情感受秋日馈赠,在实践中收获知识与成长。

To enable students to get close to nature, experience the joy of labor, and broaden their knowledge horizon, the PYP students from IID recently organized a labor practice course themed "Getting to Know Rice in Golden Autumn · Enjoying the Joy of Harvest Under the Rice Shoots" for all students from Grade 1 to Grade 5. Each grade designed distinctive activities based on the age characteristics of students. Under the warm sun and in the fields, the children fully embraced the gifts of autumn, and gained knowledge and grew through practice.

01、趣味手工+田间劳作:解锁秋日童真

活动当天,一二三年级的小同学们首先开启了 “关爱小鸟” 手工创作环节。在老师的指导下,孩子们用提前准备好的薄木板、彩笔等材料,认真搭建着一个个温馨的 “小鸟窝”。他们时而低头拆装,时而互相讨论搭建技巧,时而给鸟屋描绘彩色的外衣,一双双小手灵活地穿梭在材料间,不一会儿,一个个造型可爱、牢固实用的小鸟窝便制作完成。“希望小鸟冬天能住进我们做的窝里,暖暖的不挨冻。” 一名一年级同学捧着自己的作品,稚嫩的话语中满是善意。

On the day of the event, students from Grades 1 to 3 kicked off the "Bird Care Handicraft Workshop." Guided by teachers, the children carefully constructed cozy "birdhouses". They alternated between assembling components, discussing construction techniques, and painting vibrant patterns on the birdhouses, their nimble hands weaving through materials with ease. In no time, adorable, sturdy, and functional birdhouses took shape. "I hope the birds can live in our houses during winter, staying warm and cozy," said a Grade 1 student, holding their creation with innocent sincerity in their voice.

晒干的艾叶包散发着清苦又温暖的香气,鲜红的色棉布片、中国红棉线早已整齐摆好。小同学们围坐成圈,小脑袋凑在一起,眼睛紧紧盯着老师手中的示范艾叶锤。有的用红色棉线缠了个歪歪扭扭的小太阳,有的把布边折成波浪形再裹,让艾叶锤多了几分童趣。当一个个胖乎乎的艾叶锤终于完成,孩子们把它握在手里轻轻摇晃,“我要把这个送给奶奶,给她捶肩膀!”“我的艾叶锤闻着好舒服,晚上能放枕头边吗?” 孩子们举着自己的作品,追着老师分享喜悦,小小的艾叶锤里,装满了童真与对家人的心意。

Dried mugwort packs emit a bitter yet warm aroma. Bright red cotton cloth pieces and red cotton threads are neatly laid out. Children sit in a circle, leaning in, eyes fixed on the sample mugwort hammer the teacher holds. Some wrap red threads into lopsided little suns; others fold cloth edges into waves before wrapping, adding a playful touch to their hammers. When the chubby mugwort hammers are finally done, the kids hold and shake them gently. "I’ll give this to Grandma to massage her shoulders!" one says. "Mine smells so nice—can I put it by my pillow tonight?" another asks. Holding their creations, the children run to share their joy with the teacher. These small mugwort hammers are filled with childlike innocence and love for their families.

手工活动结束后,孩子们转战田间地头,开启了充满乐趣的劳作体验。在甘蔗种植区,孩子们挽起袖子,在老师的示范下抓住甘蔗根部,用脚从根部使劲一蹬,伴随着 “咔嚓” 声,一根根粗壮的甘蔗被成功拔出,孩子们脸上洋溢着丰收的喜悦;在红薯和花生地里,大家蹲下身,小心翼翼地拨开泥土,看着一个个饱满的红薯、一串串带着泥土清香的花生从地里 “冒” 出来,兴奋地欢呼雀跃,现场充满了欢声笑语。

After the handicraft activity, the children headed to the fields for a delightful labor experience. In the sugarcane plantation area, they rolled up their sleeves and, following the teacher's demonstration, grasped the roots of the sugarcane and stomped firmly at the base. Amidst snapping sounds, sturdy sugarcanes were successfully pulled out, with the children's faces radiating harvest joy. In the sweet potato and peanut fields, everyone knelt down to gently part the soil, watching plump sweet potatoes and clusters of fragrant peanuts pop up from the earth. They cheered and jumped with excitement, filling the air with laughter and cheers.

02、多元实践 + 知识探索:深耕秋日收获

相较于低年级,四五年级的活动内容更具挑战性与知识性。同学们首先同样体验了拔甘蔗、挖红薯、拔花生的田间劳作,在挥洒汗水的过程中,深刻体会到 “粒粒皆辛苦” 的含义。

In contrast to the lower grades, the activities for Grades 4 and 5 emphasized challenging tasks with knowledge integration, transforming simple field work into an immersive learning journey. While students still participated in hands-on labor like sugarcane pulling, sweet potato digging, and peanut harvesting, they approached these tasks with deeper analytical thinking. For example, they measured crop growth patterns using basic mathematical principles, discussed the ecological significance of crop rotation, and even calculated the carbon footprint of agricultural practices under teacher guidance.

随后,大家来到水稻种植区,开启了 “割水稻” 实践环节。这都是去年同学们播撒下的稻种,终于可以丰收了。在农民伯伯的指导下,同学们手握镰刀,学习正确的收割姿势,弯腰、下刀、收割,动作虽略显生疏,却格外认真。金黄的稻穗在手中汇聚,孩子们在劳动中直观感受水稻从田间到餐桌的过程,对粮食的敬畏之心油然而生。

Subsequently, the students moved to the rice paddy for a hands-on rice harvesting workshop. These crops were the very seeds they had broadcasted in the fields the previous year, finally reaching maturity. Guided by Farmer Uncle, the students gripped sickles and learned proper harvesting techniques—bending, slicing, and gathering the stalks with deliberate focus. Though their movements were initially clumsy, their concentration was unwavering.

劳作之余,科普探索活动同步开展。在植物科普区,老师通过实物展示、现场讲解等方式,向同学们详细介绍了植物的繁殖方式,从种子繁殖到扦插、分株等无性繁殖,生动的讲解让抽象的知识变得通俗易懂。随后,同学们亲手栽种迷迭香幼苗,小心翼翼地将幼苗植入花盆,培土、浇水,悉心呵护着属于自己的小绿植,在实践中加深对植物生长的理解。

Beyond their labor tasks, students explored plant science. A teacher demystified plant reproduction, and then everyone potted rosemary seedlings, tending with care as they deepened their understanding of botany.

活动尾声,传统民俗体验区的投壶与射箭项目吸引了同学们的目光。大家排队依次体验,拿起箭矢瞄准壶口投掷,或是拉弓搭箭瞄准靶心,在一次次尝试中感受传统体育项目的魅力,不仅锻炼了专注力与协调性,更在趣味体验中传承了中华优秀传统文化。

At the end of the event, the traditional folk activity area's arrow-throwing (touhu) and archery attractions drew the students' attention. They lined up to try them one by one—throwing arrows at the pot's mouth or drawing bows to aim at targets. Through repeated attempts, they experienced the charm of these traditional sports, enhancing their concentration and coordination while inheriting fine traditional Chinese culture in a fun way.

03、实践促成长:课程活动收获满满

此次课程,将劳动教育、科普教育与传统文化教育融入秋日体验中,让孩子们走出课堂,在自然中学习,在实践中成长。课程结束后,同学们纷纷表示,这次活动不仅收获了劳动的快乐,还学到了很多课本外的知识。“第一次割水稻,虽然累但特别有意义,以后我一定会珍惜粮食。”“亲手栽的迷迭香,我要好好照顾它,看着它长大。”

This course integrated labor education, popular science education, and traditional culture education into autumn experiences. It took children out of the classroom to learn in nature and grow through practice. After the course, students all said the autumn outing not only brought the joy of labor, but also taught them much knowledge beyond textbooks. "It was my first time cutting rice—tiring but really meaningful. I’ll definitely treasure food from now on," one said. "I’ll take good care of the rosemary I planted myself and watch it grow," another added.

劳动实践是学校 “五育并举” 教育理念的生动体现,通过多样化的活动设计,让学生在亲近自然的过程中提升实践能力、增长知识见闻,同时培养劳动意识与传统文化素养。未来,学校将继续开展更多特色实践课程,为学生全面发展搭建广阔平台。

Labor practice vividly reflects the school’s educational philosophy of "promoting five educations simultaneously". Through diverse activity designs, students enhance practical abilities, expand knowledge while getting close to nature, and develop labor awareness and traditional cultural literacy. In the future, the school will continue to launch more characteristic practical courses to build a broad platform for students’ all-round development.
