In the IB education system, assessment is highly significant as it evaluates students' growth and supports teaching enhancement. Emphasizing the integration of formative and summative methods, IB assessment aims to cultivate well-rounded students. Closely linked to this, homework serves as a key assessment tool. When designed according to IB assessment principles, it helps students develop diverse skills, aligning with IB educational goals and promoting their overall development.

近日,融合部小初全体教师齐聚一堂,开展了一场别开生面的 “作业共享交流研讨会”,旨在促进教师间的相互学习与交流,提升教学质量。同时紧密契合了IB评估的核心意义,为优化教学实践、助力学生全面成长搭建了重要平台。

Recently, all teachers from IID PYP and MYP gathered for a unique "Homework Sharing and Exchange Seminar". The event aimed to promote mutual learning and communication among teachers, enhance teaching quality, closely align with the core significance of IB assessment, and build an important platform for optimizing teaching practices and facilitating students' comprehensive growth.

01、开篇引言:IB评估的意义 教学优化启航

活动伊始,主管教学的赵秀芳老师为本次研讨会作了简短有力的开场白,她强调了此次活动对于优化教学、提升学生学习体验的重要意义,这与IB评估注重学生个性化学习、全面发展的理念不谋而合,为后续环节奠定了良好基调。

At the beginning of the activity, Tina, the teacher in charge of teaching, gave a brief opening speech, highlighting the significance of the event for optimizing teaching and improving students' learning experience, This is in perfect harmony with the IB assessment's focus on students' personalized learning and comprehensive development, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent sessions.

02、探索教学新路径 作业展示

在学科组代表展示环节,语数英综学科组通过PPT展示常规与特色作业。语文组聚焦阅读写作,培养文学与表达能力,契合IB沟通能力要求;数学组以严谨作业培育批判性思维;英语组借助情景作业提升语言应用能力;综合组设计跨学科作业促进知识融合。展示内容新颖、干货满满,为教师们提供了创新教学思路。

Homework Presentation

Next was the subject-group representative presentation session. Representatives from Chinese, Math, English, and Com-prehensive subjects used PPTs to present regular and special homework. The Chinese group focused on reading and writing to build literary skills. The Math group showed rigor in homework and emphasized innovative thinking. The English group used situational tasks for language application. The Comprehensive group's interdisciplinary work broke subject boundaries for overall competence. These novel and rich presentations inspired the teachers.

03、助推学生全面发 展 画廊探学

Gallery Walk

随后进入 “画廊走” 环节,教师们在展示台前驻足观摩。桌上摆放着学生们的优秀作业成果,有制作精美的手抄报、充满巧思的手工模型、条理清晰的思维导图等。教师们相互交流学习,仔细观察每一份作业背后的设计理念与教学目标,并认真写下反馈意见。这一环节不仅促进了教师间的经验分享,更激发了大家对于作业设计创新的思考。有助于教师在今后的教学中设计出更符合IB评估要求的作业,更好地引导学生实现全面发展。

Next was the "Gallery Walk" session. Teachers wandered around, observing displays of students' excellent homework, such as hand - copied newspapers, handmade models, and mind maps. They exchanged ideas, analyzed the design concepts and teaching goals behind each piece, and provided feedback. This activity enhanced experience sharing and inspired innovative homework design.It helps teachers design assignments that better meet the requirements of the IB assessment in future teaching, and guides students to achieve comprehensive development more effectively.

此次 “作业交流研讨会”,为融合小初教师搭建了交流互鉴的平台,通过分享优秀作业案例,碰撞出思维火花。相信在未来的教学中,教师们将汲取经验,不断优化作业设计,以更优质的教学助力学生成长。让学生在IB教育的滋养下,更好地满足IB评估的各项要求,成为具有国际视野、创新能力和综合素养的优秀人才。

This "Homework Exchange and Seminar" has established a platform for teachers from IID PYP and MYP to communicate and learn from each other.
