官宣!新华公学正式成为IB MYP候选学校
继2020年我校成功获得IB PYP官方授权以来,此次MYP项目申请又有新突破,成功于2023年9月7日成为IB MYP候选学校,完备的IB课程体系定会助力新华学子的更好发展。
Finally the official announcement! Warm congratulations on our success as an IB MYP candidate school. Following our success in becoming an official IB PYP authorized school in 2020, this MYP project has finally made a breakthrough and successfully became an IB MYP candidate school on September 7, 2023.

什么是MYP?

国际文凭项目包括IB PYP、MYP、DP和CP. IB MYP 是为11-16岁的学生设计的,旨在为他们提供全面的教育。MYP强调学生的学术发展和个人发展的平衡。它鼓励11至16岁的学生将他们的学习与现实世界联系起来,为他们在未来的学习和生活中取得成功做好准备。
IB programs include IB PYP, MYP, DP and CP. IB MYP is designed for students aged 11-16 years and aims to provide them with a well-rounded education. The MYP emphasizes a balance between the academic and personal development of students. It encourages students aged 11 to 16 to make practical connections between their studies and the real world, preparing them for success in further study and in life.

The MYP aims to develop active learners and internationally minded young people who can empathize with others and pursue lives of purpose and meaning.The programme empowers students to inquire into a wide range of issues and ideas of significance locally, nationally and globally. The result is young people who are creative, critical and reflective thinkers.

中学课程(MYP)帮助学生发展特定学科和跨学科的理解。IB MYP项目课程框架包括:学习方法(ATL),帮助学生学习如何通过发展研究、批判性和创造性思维、沟通、协作和自我管理技能来学习;关键和相关的概念,帮助学生探索重大的想法;在全球背景下,帮助学生理解他们的研究对理解人类共同的人性和共同的地球守护者的相关性和重要性。学生在一段较长的时间内完成一项重要的工作,鼓励他们巩固自己的学习并反思自己的工作成果。
The Middle Years Programme (MYP) helps students develop both subject-specific and interdisciplinary understanding. The MYP curriculum framework includes:Approaches to learning (ATL), helping students learn how to learn by developing skills for research, critical and creative thinking, communication, collaboration, and self-management. Key and related concepts, helping students explore big ideas that matter. Global contexts, helping students understand the relevance and importance of their study for understanding their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet.The MYP culminates in an independent learning project. Students complete a significant piece of work over an extended period of time, encouraging them to consolidate their learning and reflect on the outcomes of their work.
新华公学融合部,MYP项目如何组织教学?
How teaching and learning is organized in the MYP in Xinhua academy integration department?
中学项目通过八个学科小组组织教学。该项目促进跨学科研究,帮助学生在学科之间建立重要联系。每年我们MYP的学生都会致力于至少一个涉及两个或多个学科协作完成的跨学科探究单元。比如我们今年6月份组织的徽文化跨学科探究单元就是很好的例子。该项目融合了语文、数学、历史、艺术设计等学科,很好的打破了学科之间的壁垒,促进了学生对跨学科融合的深入理解。从前期的背景调研、制定计划,到实践行动,开展了为期三天的徽州文化实地研学,通过徽州建筑、徽州美食和宣纸三个不同角度分小组探究行动,学生们收集了一手的信息资源,亲身感受了徽文化背后的故事,最后学生们通过多种多样的表现形式举办了徽文化探究跨学科成果展,取得了较好的效果,老师和同学们也收获满满,极大地帮助学生在学科之间建立了重要联系。

我们致力于培养学生的各项ATL技能,旨在培养学生的个人理解,他们在社区中逐渐形成的自我意识和责任感。
作为IB MYP社区项目中重要的组成部分,行动和服务一直是IB社区的共同价值观。所以我们MYP的教与学还特别注重开展服务与行动实践活动。
当学生们把他们在课堂上和课外学到的东西付诸实践时,他们就会采取行动。IB学习者努力成为有爱心的社区成员,表现出对服务的承诺,对他人的生活和环境产生积极的影响。
We are committed to developing students' ATL skills.this aims to help students develop their personal understanding, their emerging sense of self and responsibility in their community.
Service as action is an integral part of the programme, especially in the MYP community project.Action and service have always been shared values of the IB community.So we MYP emphasize” Service as action(SA)’ a lot .
Students take action when they apply what they are learning in the classroom and beyond. IB learners strive to be caring members of the community who demonstrate a commitment to service—making a positive difference to the lives of others and to the environment.

In short, the IB MYP is a hub connecting PYP and DP and occupies a very important place. It is also a programme with great potential and vitality. We look forward to the continuous development and growth of the MYP project, and hope that our MYP project of Xinhua academy will make greater progress in constantly forging ahead.
