春风有信，花开有期。在IB PYP的教育旅程中，我们不仅关注知识的积累，更珍视每一个“全人”的绽放。日前，合肥新华公学融合部小学诚邀全体PYP家长走进校园，共同开启一场关于“成长、理解与协作”的期中家长会。这不仅是一次汇报，更是一次学习者社区的深度链接。我们用两个半小时，完成了一场学习者社区的三方奔赴。那些值得回味的瞬间，我们想和你一起重温。

Spring brings messages, and flowers bloom in time.In the IB PYP learning journey, we focus not only on knowledge acquisition but also on the growth of every whole child. Recently, we warmly invited all PYP parents to campus for our mid-term parent meeting themed "Growth, Understanding and Collaboration." It is not only a progress report, but also a deep connection within our learning community. In two and a half hours, we gathered as a learner community—students, parents and teachers together. We want to relive those memorable moments with you.

校长&英语负责人宣讲

活动在融合部小学、初中校长Wolly的分享中拉开序幕。从本学期PYP项目的推进脉络，到“全人教育”理念在每一天课堂中的落地——Wolly校长用娓娓道来的讲述，回应了家长们最深切的关心。

The event began with a sharing session by Wolly, Principal of the International Integration PYP&MYP at Hefei Xinhua Academy, sharing the PYP program progress and how holistic education comes to life in daily classrooms, responding to parents’ deepest concerns with heartfelt sharing.

随后，融合部小学、初中英语教学负责人王佳曦老师聚焦语言学习，拆解了从分层支持到概念驱动的英语课程设计。那些关于“孩子如何真正习得一门语言”的疑问，在这里找到了答案。台前是真诚的分享，台下是专注的记录。教育的共识，就在这一来一往中慢慢生长。

Next, Wang Jiaxi, Head of English of the Integration PYP&MYP at Hefei Xinhua Academy, unpacking our differentiated, concept-driven English curriculum design. Questions about "how children truly acquire a language" were answered here. Sincere sharing on stage, focused note-taking in the audience. Educational consensus grows gradually in this interaction.

学生成果展示

这一次，我们把成果展搬到了户外。春日的校园里，一张张展台有序排开，每一处都站着一个准备好被倾听的小小学习者。与以往不同，这场展示不设“班级围墙”——孩子们面对的不只是自己班级的家长，而是所有穿梭于展区之间的大人。“您好，这是我的探究成果，我可以为您介绍一下吗?”一位孩子主动走向陌生的来宾，落落大方地开始了讲解。从探究主题的缘起，到循环反复的查找资料、提出问题、修正结论，再到最终的作品呈现……孩子们讲述的，不仅是一个主题的答案，更是他们如何寻找答案的过程。

This time, we moved our celebration of learning outdoors. In our spring campus, exhibition stands were neatly arranged, each hosted by a young learner ready to share. Different from previous events, this showcase had no "class boundaries"—children presented not only to their own class parents, but to all visitors walking through the exhibition area. "Hello, this is my inquiry work. May I introduce it to you?" A child confidently approached an unfamiliar adult and began to share. From the origin of the inquiry topic, to repeated research, questioning, revising ideas, and finally presenting their work… what the children shared was not only the answer to a topic, but more importantly, the process of how they found the answer.

在这一刻，家长的身份也变得多元——可以是为自家孩子骄傲的父母，也可以是认真倾听他人孩子的“社区成员”。有人蹲下身来平视讲解者，有人翻阅着学习档案频频点头，有人在离开一个展位时轻声说了一句：“真了不起。”太阳底下，每个孩子都在发光。而面向所有人展示的勇气，本身就是比知识更珍贵的成长。

At this moment, parents took on diverse roles—they could be proud parents of their own children, or "community members" listening carefully to other children. Some squatted down to listen at eye level, some flipped through learning portfolios and nodded frequently, and some whispered "Really amazing" when leaving a booth. Every child shines brightly in the sunlight.The courage to present to others is a more valuable growth than knowledge itself.

家长工作坊

成果展示结束后，家长们移步室内，开启了一场特别的“换位体验”。在老师们的引导下，家长们不再是旁观者，而是以“学习者”的身份，亲身体验PYP课堂中的探究活动。提问、讨论、协作、反思，那些孩子们每天都在经历的学习环节，家长们一一走了一遍。

After the achievement showcase, parents moved indoors for a special role-exchange experience. Guided by teachers, parents were no longer onlookers but experienced PYP inquiry activities firsthand as "learners." They asked questions, discussed, collaborated and reflected—going through the very same learning steps that children experience every day.

“原来探究课是这样上的。”“我终于理解孩子为什么总说‘我们在讨论’，而不是‘老师在讲’。”当家长在便签纸上写下自己的思考，当小组讨论中传出恍然大悟的笑声——我们相信，有些理解，真的只有亲身体验过才能抵达。

"So this is what an inquiry class is like." "I finally understand why my child always says 'we're discussing' instead of 'the teacher is talking'." As parents wrote down their thoughts on sticky notes and shared joyful "aha" moments in group discussions, we believe that some understandings can only be reached through personal experience.

以春为约，共赴成长

两个半小时太短，装不下探究单元里反复推敲的每一个日夜。但两个半小时也足够——足够让一个孩子向陌生的世界介绍自己，足够让一位家长看见“别人家的孩子”，也看见自己的成长。

Two and a half hours is too short to contain all the efforts and reflections in our inquiry units. But two and a half hours is enough: Enough for a child to introduce themselves to the world, and enough for parents to see growth—both in others and in their own children.

感谢每一位如期而至的家长，感谢每一位自信展示的孩子，感谢身后用心策划这一切的老师们。教育，不是把孩子关在教室里好好长大，而是让他们站在阳光下，被整个世界看见。

Thank you to every parent who joined us on time. Thank you to every child who shared confidently. Thank you to our teachers who carefully planned this meaningful day. Education is not keeping children in classrooms to grow; it is letting them stand in the light and be seen by the world.
