常言道，“读万卷书，行万里路”，暑假的生活总是丰富多彩的，游玩、度假、休闲，兴盛之余不免会有些空虚，此时如果能配上一两本有意义的书籍才方显得更加充实，回首望来才不会觉得虚度了这段光阴，负了这段韶华。

As the saying goes, reading thousands of books and traveling thousands of miles. The life of summer vacation is always abundant and colorful, playing, travelling, and freeing yourself, however, you may feel a little empty after relaxation. Reading one or two meaningful books can help you come down to earth, while looking back, you will not feel trifle away your time.

在中国灿烂的文化历史中，唐诗宋词浓墨重彩的留下了印记，它们把古典诗歌音律和谐、文字精练的艺术特色，提升到前所未有的高度。在悠悠的岁月中它们潜移默化着每一代中国人的精神世界，在现实与理想间轻轻回荡，引导着一个又一个从山重水复到柳暗花明。

In the splendid culture and history of China, the Tang and Song poetry have left their mark, they have raised the artistic characteristics of classical poetry with harmonious melody and refined writing to an unprecedented height. In the long history, they subtly influence the spiritual world of every Chinese generation and gently echo between reality and ideal, guiding one by one to get out of confusion and obtain enlightenment.

《追风筝的人》是美国作家卡勒德·胡塞尼的第一本小说，这是一个关于友情与心灵救赎的故事。如果说真正的救赎，是接纳不完美的自己，那么这本书刚好诠释了什么是勇气、什么是担当。追风筝的人，追的不仅是风筝，更是美好的人性和自在的心灵。正如罗曼·罗兰曾经说过：“世界上只有一种真正的英雄主义，那就是在认识生活的真相后依然热爱生活。”

Kite Runner is the first novel written by American writer Khaled Hosseini, which is a story about friendship and soul salvation. If real salvation is to accept the imperfect self, then this book just explains what courage and responsibility is. Kite runners, running not only for kites, but also good humanity and unrestrained soul. Just as Romain Roland once said that there is only one kind of true heroism in the world, that is, still loving life after knowing the truth of life.

如果说《追风筝的人》是在逃避与救赎中沉沦挣扎，那么《灿烂千阳》则是在绝望的黑暗中寻觅着希望的光亮。虽然这是一个悲剧，但最终还是有一个充满光明和希望的结局，在所有的伤痛和苦难之后让人们看到生活的价值。小说中默默传递出来的勇气和对未来的信念，正如米扎尔·穆罕默德归途中的所作：“人们数不清她的屋顶上有多少轮皎洁的月亮，也数不清她的墙壁之后那一千个灿烂的太阳。”

If Kite runner is about struggling in escape and redemption, A Thousand Splendid Suns is about searching for the light of hope in the darkness of despair. Although this is a tragedy, there is still a bright and hopeful ending, that is, after all the pain and suffering, people can see the value of life. The courage and belief in the future silently conveyed in the novel just like what Mizal Muhammad wrote on his way home: People can't count how many bright moons there above her roof, neither can't they count the thousand splendid suns behind her walls.

People regard food as their prime want, and eating is an eternal topic for mankind and takes up an IP role that is never absent in literary works. The inheritance of Chinese cuisine has become a signature of Chinese culture. Frying, cooking, stewing, and stir-frying resembles a symphony on the tip of the tongue. See how the "Time-honored brands" play and see what different taste buds they can reconcile.

ART & DESIGN

在当代的资讯与娱乐大众传媒领域，连环漫画、电影、电视三者都是以图象作为媒介，因此，无论在反映现实还是制造幻想方面，图象都比文字媒介更具体生动，更容易为大众所接受，推动了"读图"时代的发展。

In the field of contemporary information and entertainment mass media, comic strips, movies, and television all use images as media. Therefore, images are more specific and vivid than text media in reflecting reality and creating fantasy and easier for people to accept, promoting the development of "Reading Pictures" era.

青少年们从信息时代中形成自己的认知、思维和阅读方式，对以图像为特点的连环漫画有着天然的亲近感与认同感。他们用连环画的方式，记录与传达自己的生活，我们的暑期艺术作业，就让同学们以“My summer holiday”为主题，创作连环漫画(图&文)，接下来就让我们一起来欣赏一下，同学们趣味横生的假期生活吧~

In China, the generation of teenagers who grew up in the era of reform and opening-up formed their own cognition, thinking, and reading modes from the information age, and they have a natural affinity and sense of identity for comic strips characterized by images. They use comic strips to record and convey their lives. Our summer art assignment allows students to create comic strips (pictures & texts) with the theme of "My summer holiday", and let us appreciate their interesting holiday life together~
